Ok i have been reading threads about the questioing of Dick knight and am very amazed at some people turning on the board and knight for them to publiclay saying they cant bank roll the albion.

Ernest apart who really is just full of shit i would have thought that you can see why the board have announced this

Since the take over we have paid off the previous tossers and invested money into Brighton to a give back something to the fans and to give the fight for Falmer a more stonger backing being a championship team with no ground is more of a traversty than a league two side.

They have upgraded a site for the albion to play at so we can see them at home and have always been open with money.

these things have cost money a lot of money to say that the board has managed the money poorly is mad i am surprised it has taken this long for this to come out. With the six thousand gate paying for that does not add up so the board cant keep paying out

The reopening of the falmer case was not budgeted for and this is what the money is to go to.

my view i am glad they have done this now rather than further down the road when the club has huge debts and wound up i am behind knight so are most i respect peoples views but this is really harsh on the board

i appluade dick and i will be donating money to the cause

Ernest, you really are a sad, unfortunate excuse for a real fan. I was going to write a lot of abuse, but you're not worth the time.

DK has done an amazing job in 7 years or so. He's not a billionaire, so we have to accept that the board can only do so much.

yeah lets applaud the decision to give Reid, Jarrret, Molango, Currie, Piercy, and Hammond (at least 3 of which are unlikely to figure much this season) new contracts when we are so broke the result is we lose Mcghee, Cullip, and Knight if the fans arent blackmailed to provide large amounts of cash.

I also think we should applaud the superb Centenary DVD that came out, the lack of DVDs from past season highlights, the lack of half a season from the last dvd and the awarding of contracts to players who were never going to be good enough or are so knackered they were necer going to recover.

Lets also applaud the decision to radically change the kit design so half our fans dont even like it without consulting a sole. Lets also clap the fact the kit isnt available until the first game of the season FOR THE SECOND TIME!


I am not anti Dick Knight, hes obviosly done many good things but commercially it sucks and the fans should have been conulted ay before things got this bad, as I said before, if they arent this bad as LB said then the threat of losing players is nothing short of emotional blackmail.

You say that the money is for the next phase of planning enquiry, well thats £200k not £2 million!

The club are in limbo the board will not give out expensive contracts to the big players if there is no ground to get some of there investment back. so they have been truthful if you want to stay in the champs it takes money

If you get rid of DK you need a replacement, you also need a replacement he can afford to buy him out. lets face it NO ONE with an ounce of CDF (Common Dog F**k or Common sense to the uneducated) would go anywhere the club at the moment, atleast not until falmer is sorted.

Ive not said that at all, did you read my post, it says that the commercial branch of the club is very poor! Not that we need someone to come in with loads of cash, I know that person doesnt exist until Falmer!

Blackwell after he was crocked. At the time a good gesture but in view of the economic situation this now looks ridiculous. Oatway and Jones (sure there were others) when we were promoted to Div 1 last time round were always gong to struggle and DK handed out contracts when we didnt even have a manager.

I have no problem wwith changing the kit and personally like the colour, the thing is many many others dont and as a result wont buy it. The stripes at the front not going all the way down look terrible. In a market where your customers wont buy something they dont like I think being told to get used to it is Naivety in the extreme. You obviously have no concept of marketing whatsoever.
It is an unavoidable point that the kit design has cost the club money!
