Weird IT problem.

I'm using firefox and vista, about 20 minutes ago my browsers started failing. I flushed DNS, cleared cookies etc yesterday so it isn't that. rebooted.

now there are only 2 websites I can log onto without the browser failing to load.

Any ideas, or i will be f***ing stuck here.

Oh I do, but sometimes I prefer the company of fake pseuds like on NSC.

Have you tried a different browser eg Opera to see if the problems are replicated?

Sounds like a DNS problem at the ISP end.

I not entirely sure how windows deals with it, but the websites you can access are probably being addressed directly by IP address because the OS has cached them.

Anything else is having trouble being resolved by the ISP.

i had the exact same problem about 5 days ago. waited a couple of days and it fixed itself. Was bloody annoying though not have the internet working. I'm with vodafone, which is pretty much a rebranded version of BT.

Seems to have been resolved now thanks, i reset the winsock thingy and cleared stuff.

I can access the sportinglife site now and thats the main thing.

I have had this problem as well. I went into my dx-bib/exe and refigured my figurines over to gamma and delta files. Then if you box all your dmits into one maxi-program you can leave one of your slippers at the top of the landing and nobody will know you have had councilling.
