Website design - can anyone help?

Any many regular NSCers will know I am in the process of launching my own business - need to do most of the ground work now for a launch in early Jan.

Among many things I have now registered my company name and also registered an email address and a website domain name.

Although I am quite computer literate, I have never done any website design, nor even dabbled at it.

I want to set up a single home webpage to start with to give potential customers basic info and my email address and phone number.

Can anyone point me in the direction of either an Idiot's Guide or a simple website design programme and how to upload stuff onto the page etc???

Any help gratefully received.

Thanks guys

when you bought the domain address did you not get (should've) the server address to upload stuff too? Most places help you out with that and give you simple FTP programs and simple web editing tools.

web editing tool I use is HotDog Pro and its simple with a decent help facility and learning curve: www.sausage.com

For a free and simple service try this lot.

Bravenet

Hosted my first ever site with them with no HTML knowledge using their on-line (graphical) editors and it was a doddle.

Their free package would certainly be ideal for a makeshift site whilst you investigated something more professional (which they can support as well).
