Can anyone point me in the direction of some free software that I can build in to a website that I am building in Dreamweaver that will allow me to do the following:

Allow people to download documents

Allow me to set-up password protected areas

download documents - just put them on the server and link to them
password protected area - just edit the .htaccess (I'm presuming you've Linux webhosting?)

No software needed.

I done my password protection in PHP. I did download some free code for it, but not sure where I would have put it. If I find it I'll PM you a link.
