Unfortunately, they're going to lose. I've taken the afternoon off work.

Sorry about that.

Slovenia conceeded less goals that us en route to the world cup, so I don't think we can expect a rout. Any win would do me.

I can see us battering them but then they score on a counter attack, we then equalise with 10 minutes to go and then hit the woodwork/miss a penalty and go out!

Keep the faith, we will win today and have the easiest ticket to the semi's imagineable.

Almost like we have fixed the draw

Oh FFS - you said we'd be 2-0 up against Algeria inside 15 minutes.

We *might* win, we might get desperate and stumble to a shit draw. I reckon it's 50/50

I'm not sure about 3-0 but I reckon we'll win 'comfortably'. By that I don't necessarily mean by lots of goals but we'll be in control throughout.

And this is nothing to do with 'belief' or blinkered patriotism, it's just simply that we've got a better team than Algeria, USA or Slovenia. And whilst 'every dog has his day' and the formbook is often turned upside down in football - eventually the better teams come out on top. We simply CANNOT play as badly as we did against Algeria, it just isn't physically possible. And of course we weren't brilliant against the USA either.

Ok, we probably aren't good enough to win the whole tournament (unless we turn the formbook on its head when we play one of our betters), but we can get our act together enough today to overcome what is essentially a Championship side.

Exactly. Perfectly put.
