I'd understand if United were still involved in the chase for the title or the Champion's League, it would then be totally reasonable to get this tinpot cup out of the way as fast as possible. Maybe it's because we have a relegation fight to think about.

I think it's more to do with the clubs and where their priorities lie these days. I wouldn't be so hasty to pin this on the FA, per se.
