Taken from BBC website:

Brighton 2-0 Sheffield Wed

Brighton kept up their unbeaten home record as Leon Knight's seventh goal of the season and a late strike from substitute Chris McPhee earned them a win against Wednesday. With only a few minutes on the clock Simon Rodger burst forward with a powerful run from midfield that carried him to the by-line.

And when he crossed into the box, Knight made no mistake with a fierce low drive inside the post.

Eh?

That early setback rocked the visitors and soon afterwards they were almost breached again when the same player hit another shot from distance that forced Kevin Pressman to save.

For all Sheffield Wednesday's endeavour, there was no way through and it was Brighton who almost went in at the break further ahead as Gary Hart thundered a 25-yarder against the woodwork.

That's true!

With time running out, the hosts suffered a blow when Knight was forced off with an injury.

Substitute McPhee, however, proved a more than capable replacement and late on he latched on to Guy Butters' throughball to seal the win.

What?!!!!!

Shoddy work BBC!

I think my match report on the game thread is much better. Yes, that was definitely a shoddy piece of work, whoever rang the report in to the Beeb must have been asleep during the game!!
