Virus warning

This may be a hoax but better to be aware just in case. I have just received this email.

I'm sorry if you are already aware - but I treat very seriously any warnings about viruses. I'd rather receive this 25 times than never be told at all.
Very Important!!
During the next several weeks be VERY cautious about opening or launching
any e-mails that refer to the World Trade Center or 9/11 in any way,
regardless of who sent it. PLEASE FORWARD TO ALL YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY.
FOR THOSE WHO DON'T KNOW, "WTC" STANDS FOR THE WORLD TRADE CENTER. REALLY
DANGEROUS BECAUSE PEOPLE WILL OPEN IT RIGHT AWAY, THINKING ITS A STORY
RELATING TO 9/11!

your whole "C" drive.. It will come to you in the form of an E-Mail from a
familiar person. I repeat, a friend sent it to me, but called and warned me
before I opened it. He was not so lucky and now he can't even start his
computer!

Forward this to everyone in your address book. I would rather receive this
25 times than not at all. So, if you receive an email

called "WTC Survivor," do not open it. Delete it right away! This virus
removes all dynamic link libraries (.dll files) from your computer.

I think the give away in these hoaxes is the "it will delete your whole C Drive" line. When was the last time a virus ever did that? It can damage files and stop your machine from working or cause strange behaviour but formatting your hard drive is not normally a side effect. And what if my files are on a D drive?

Next time you get a mail like this just return this link to the sender with a request that they check before forwarding it.

Please be aware that some people have been knocking on doors and then asking to see your bottom as they are checking for symptoms of an airbourne virus.

This is not genuine, they are only want to see your bottom.
