he told me after the match he was surprised with his first touch - said he was half expecting it to cannon off him and out for a throw-in :D

A legend ... and modest with it

It just goes to show he is more talented that he thinks he is.

I hope it doesn't go to his head unlike a certain striker that gets petulant over being taken off.

The difference in attitude is very marked.

Virgs was surprised when he got the equaliser against Swindon too.

He's not the only one!

Personally, I don't care what celebration he does, just as long as he keeps banging them in.

exactly. just brilliant to see though how a centre back(supposedly) reacts to scoring such a beuty. it has to be said he never scores 'meaningless' goals does he! what a lad! im sure he will keep down to earth and that is probably the best way. we dont want him thinking he is a real striker now do we...it would ruin the fairytale!

I'm a bit cheesed off with peoples slagging of Leon of late. I think he played extremely inteligently yesterday, the goal situation was a case in point, he knew immedeatly where Virgo was, and he made the leicester players keep an eye on him as he ran back onside, thus freeing up Virgs. Leon was always trying to get on the ball, linked up well with Virgo and others, and his petulant strop at bing taken off was, I'm sure, frustration that he had not scored.

Get off his back, he was out top scorer last season, the top in the league, and he'll be our top scorer this season, he is a class act and he is maturing well this season, he needs to be a team player against a lot of these teams, and he is doing it well.

Agreed Superhil.

And who would have thought Virgo would be our top scorer after half a dozen games !

Hear Hear to that
I was really pleased to see leon look extremely annoyed at being subbbed - just the reaction I want to see in a striker. Leicester were scared stiff of him and couldnt stop kicking him or being genrally petrified whenever he got the ball.

IMHO MM should have replaced Virgs who hd run himself into the ground with OGH up front in my book

Agree Superphil.

I thought Leon had a good game. He worked hard, and if he didn't want to go off, then that's good enolugh for me. Better that way than not giving a toss.

He will start scoring, especially with the good balls that Currie keeps knocking into the box.

I think we've still got a long season ahead, but we've got a very good chance of holding our own in this league now.

Also agree about Leon.
He should be gutted about being taken off.
I didn't think he played too well, but he has tonnes
of talent and we'll need his goals if we're to stay up.

And he told QPR to Feck Off, he's a legend in my mind.
