Vicente, closing in on his long-awaited comeback
* Vicente could make his Albion comeback in the FA Cup against Newcastle.
* The Spanish playmaker steps up training this weekend and may be on the bench for the Toon's third round visit to The Amex on Saturday week.
* Boss Gus Poyet revealed to The Argus: "On Saturday he starts training with the reserves, proper football.
* "Can we force him to be ready in two or three weeks? I don't know, that will depend on the personell and how he feels.
* "Maybe we will give him 15 or 20 minutes against Newcastle, who knows."
* A thigh problem has sidelined Vicente from Championship action for Albion since a brief substitute appearance in the first home game of the season against Cardiff back in August.
* Poyet added: "The idea is that he starts feeling like a football player again, which is the most important part. It is another of the signings of the January transfer window. We've got Vicente from Valencia!"
