I can't believe there are no threads on this - but wasn't that an absolutely APPALLING performance against Burnley on Saturday? I don't know where to begin but I'll start with the team. Useless. There was no pride, no effort, no committment, no passing, no working for each other, no tracking back, etc. Even the normally industrious Gary Hart was strangely anonymous and frankly we just didn't turn up today. Luckily Burnley were equally subdued otherwise we wouldn't have got away with a 0-0 draw. And the crowd! I know Withdean is a rubbish stadium and it's really hard to generate an atmosphere but honestly on Saturday I thought I was the only one singing. It didn't help of course that there were so many empty seats. I know Burnley bought absolutely nobody but it was disheartening to see so many empty seats in the Albion sections. This is just playing straight into the hands of Lewes District Council.
And finally I must mention the catering. Look, it's winter, of course there's going to be a heavy demand for hot food - so make sure you prepare enough! By the time I got there it had all sold out and the kiosks were closed.
All in all a bit of a deflating experience, if it wasn't for Ernie and his ARS organising their much-promised (and may I say magnificently organised) "Magoo out!" protest it
would have been a totally wasted afternoon.
