Former Albion loanee Matt Upson has been released by Stoke City.
The centre-back, who was so impressive for the Seagulls on their way to the Championship play-offs, was always expected to leave the Potters at the end of his contract.
Jermaine Pennant, Dean Whitehead, Carlo Nash, Rory Delap, Matthew Lund and Mamady Sidibe are also being let go by Stoke along with several members of the coaching staff.
