I agree, just some of the signing will take time to bed. Today Southampton just played well. I think people still tend to think of them in the same way as we did with Benali, Monkou et al, not as the top ten team they are now. beatie and Phillips looked superb to me.

It's definitely the pitch. So what is with all the pretty new lawn cut formations I've seen recently? The hoopy quarter archery target ensemble at the QPR game, the tartan effect in todays Manu match, the diagonal number at a Liverpool match recently, and the spiral job seen at a recent televised friendly (I can't recall who was playing.) Crop circle patterns next, I tell ya.
