Are they allowed to score more than one goal a game in the Belgian league ????

Work permit??

It's highly unlikely he'll get one in January so we can forget about recalling him. If he plays in Japans next 4 WC qualifiers (late Jan/early Feb and March) combined with USG looking likely to at the very least qualify for the UEFA Conference League then that should give him the 15 points required to get a work permit. We may even be able to persuade the FA that he qualifies automatically under some of the exception rules based on his recent call up to the Japan squad provided he plays in those next 4 WC games.

This game is excruciatingly dull... close to switching over to the PL game.

USG looking a little stronger though, hopefully can win in the end.

A quintessential bore draw low on quality. Mitoma below par BUT he made one superb run of pure quality and he has good stuff.

There is an interesting video here on "The Rise of Royale Union Saint-Gilloise" Tony Bloom's second club.
And there is a strange twist to the end of the Jupiler Pro League that even if they finish with the highest points the points for the top four teams are cut in half.
Then the top four teams play each other twice and the team with the most points wins.

That's a decent read. Moneyball springs immediately to mind. Good ol' Tone!

TB doesn't like the Moneyball comparisons, and even asked for the word to be removed from a certain book about the Albion's promotion to the Premier League. I think he considers his methods more sophisticated than what happened at the Oakland A's, and he's probably right.
