.
Thank you. A good read. I only disagree with this last bit;

‘How long can one man and one club keep beating the house? Discovering the answer to that question is going to be one of English football’s most fascinating subplots.’

I think Tony’s success depends on him being the house rather than taking it on. He is a gambler and he know the house always wins in the long run. He works in financial markets which constantly evolve. Where once stock exchanges were the house it then became banks and then hedge funds. Tony is changing the game (of football) to usurp the arms race approach of the likes of Chelsea. Still fans ask will we spend big but I really don’t think that’s the plan.

Totally agree and as long as there is an average progression, over say five years, this will continue and will not fail.

We pay £3m a year for Starlizard stats. If he wants to even things out a bit he might invite a few more like minded lesser teams in other leagues to join us. Maybe it would help us in the long run.

Never go into business 😂 giving other teams our key edge, what a terrible idea.
Isn't that what Starlizard does? Its a consultancy firm. I'm not saying give away the way it works, Do you think a lower level french, Italian or Spanish team would be going after the same players as us? If you restrict it to say 15 teams around the world and charge them £3m a year that's a decent amount of pocket money aswell.
