The tournament started with an absolute classic this afternoon with flu' ridden Ding Junhui knocking out defending champion Mark Allen in a deciding frame. Allen had a 95% pot success compared to Ding's 90% - the equivalent of losing 1-0 to a team you've battered with eight shots on target compared to your opponent's one! A smash and grab raid certainly.
Currently watching Kyren 'the Warrior' Wilson 2-0 up on Jamie Clarke on the BBC Red Button. Looks good value at 18/1 this year. Early days though.
