Yes, yes - it's all guesswork etc.

But, FWIW, Uncle Tony is ranked 213th with £721m this year, just below a brickie.

They really shouldn't let brickies fly airplanes - it's a recipe for disaster.

What's Bloom's actual wealth then?

I can guarantee that TB wouldn't know, it would change so much weekly, daily and hourly to such an extent. He could probably take an educated guess, give or take 20%.

In fact, if you have one or more properties, a few accounts, pension schemes and some investments, I suspect it would probably take you the rest of the day to try and figure out your own.

But the Sunday Times has to find something to do with with it's trainees, so they phone people who want to be on the list and ask, publish whatever they are told (which is usually exaggerated because they want to be on the list) and guess the rest. If all else fails, stick/remove a few quid from last years

The numbers in that list are laughably incorrect in many cases
Doesn't take a genius to know Tony is worth a lot more than that listed.

The list is nonsense. In a former life I worked where numbers of those included were clients. We joked about the assumptions made.
It's also really odd, when you think about it. The fact that there's a whole supplement is (or, at least used to be) produced featuring the people in the UK who have the most money (along with pictures of them and details about how they made their money) is absolutely bonkers. IMO, like.

Still under the radar then.

Never let the other side know what you are worth. It can affect negotiations.

Huge amount of guesswork in the numbers - so much of the wealth of many of those listed is not in the public domain, wrapped up in complex structures, held offshore and/or difficult to value.
