Tonight's sunset

Popped down to Seaford this afternoon with the folks for a bit of birdwatching from the jetty (naff all around except gulls) and then called via the Marina on the way back. Absolutely amazing sunset began to develop as we left; the pier and Sussex Heights looked great against it, then climbing up Falmer Road, looking across to Bevendean, it was bright crimson. As usual on such occasions I did not have my camera with me. It had me imagining what the stadium, once built, and lit up, would look like against such a sunset. It would make a superb picture. Did anyone else notice it?

Way out west
Totally surreal sunset her too, though I am some way from Seaford, just a reddish-orange glow all across the sky.

Hither (sometimes Thither)
I launched an eye through one window as the day bathed itself loosely in the local hills' rifts and frozen coughs. As it sunk suicidally into the well's cylindrical black, the sky became flattered each moment with the bonfire night's whispering, flatulent exhausts. It is a lovely chapter of time, all afoot and gleefully terrified.
