Incidentally Brixton, my colleague Paul, aka Tootin' Luton, tells me about your Albion-shirt wearing antics while in Tobago...good work fella, isn't it a very small world?

And that is also - would you credit it - yet another bounce.:bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

MoH,
Say hi to Paul for me,nice bloke, tell him the fridge is a godsend, but it's pissing down now, which is a worry hence the internet cafe.
Trying hard for stripe-time but to be honest anything more than a thong is hard work in this heat let alone a winter material SKINT sweat shirt.

Manager's Comments

"I'm disgraced by that performance"

Martin Ling admitted that he had been "disgraced" by an orient perfomance that may cost him his chances of getting the manager's job full-time at Brisbane Road.

The O's were savaged by a dominant Dagenham and Redbridge team in the LDV Trophy on Wednesday in what was another cup night of non-league nightmares for the club.

And an angry Ling ws in o moord to defend the shambolic performance his side had delivered at Victoria Road.

"It was a very poor performance , he said. " we were lucky to be 0-0 at half time and we knew we'd be in a game but we were passsed off the park."

Our four midgielders were nowhere near it, and they ran the show. All the evidence proves how poor we were."

It sounds stupid but I don't think our back four were that bad - they had eight players running at them and no-one helping them out from our midfield.

Our back four had too much to handle because our midfield was overrun. It was embarresing to look at and I laid into them at half time - I feel let down by them."

ling revealed he had torn into the players after the match and told then that they must start delivering what they are capable of on the pitch, rather than just talking about it.

"I'm mot interested in them going to the press and saying Martin Ling's the right man for the job - I'm interested in them showing me on the pitch how much they want to do it for this football club.

"Performances like that mean the players let themselves down. We built the game up as a much as we could to say it was an important competition and we were outplayed by a Conference side.

"Everyone will say Martin Ling did it for two games because every new managere can, the players have to go out on Saturday and show they can do it again.

"They've been told how embarressing this is and I've named names in the dressing room.

"Dagenham played Monday and some of their players probably went to work on Tuesday - I'm disgraced by that performance and I'm annoyed I won't be able to make more changes for Saturday.

I have got three games in charge and we need an instant reaction. If I can get 12 points from six games that will look good.

"If this becomes a big issue and we don't react, then my chances of getting the job are nil."
