Leyton Orient in the FL trophy. Three things stand out for me, the overwhelming support we had from people right across the Albion spectrum, the fact that Jeremy Clarkson used the offending word on a recorded edition of Top Gear two days after Hawesy and I were suspended and to top it all when the lone complaint from the member of the public was followed up it transpired that the person in question hadn't heard the show but had read about it on an Internet forum!

As much as I think it was daft, the whole charade, I don't think that has a bearing on it at all.

Are you only offended live? Surely you must have read something you found offensive and seen fit to complain. Why would it be any different for something you didn't hear, but later read about?

Crazy to suspend two employees over a single complaint. Especially seeing as the BBC operated on a different level when it comes to staff behaviour, seemingly.

Me also as I turn the radio over or off as soon as the game has finished unless they say they are going to speak to Gus shortly and then turn it off after that. Absolute rubbish phone in generally.

Hawes didn't go for that did he. However his card was marked and he walked tight-rope from then on. Wasn't his final downfall something to do with Dean Cox. Or does my memory fail me.
