Anyone else read his 'Don't hold your breath on Falmer' short? Basically he enquired of Prescott's office about how long until a likely decision and was told 'The public enquiry will take up to a year to conclude. This is in accordance with normal procedings for cases of this kind.'

This may be old news, and I'm three sheets to the wind writing this (Murphys), but could this potentially mean a decision could take up to a year as of next April? hic

I would take anything he says with a pinch of salt. Good Albion fan, but never really comes across as having a clue what he's talking about, especially on Falmer. More a disc jockey than a serious journalist.

He is but we are still waiting to hear from him which paper.

Judging by his rantings in the past, I'd guess he would make a good Daily Mirror hack.

Maybe his slightly sneering put-down was a thinly disguised pitch why he should take over the Richard Lindfield column ?

Generally I hear from a few high up people who say that we will not get planning for Falmer anyway!!

Lindfield's a nice bloke. Not , perhaps, the most INCISIVE of journalists and certainly best known for his work on the wireless. So LI's assessment is pretty fair, I'd say.
