Time delays with North Stand Chat.

I have moved to Firefox in order to stop the stupid time intervals between viewing posts and logging on etc.
but it seems that the system is following me there, is there any respite?

I very quickly moved off of Firefox onto Chrome - FF annoyed me greatly. No problems since for me.
