Went To Nottingham with Danny Cullip Lookalike's Uncle and had a bloody good day. After recent away ( and home ) performances, I felt a certain trepidation but the boys did us proud and thoroughly deserved the win. While not quite as stunning a win as the 3-1 at Rushden, it was good to watch and there was bags of commitment all over the pitch.

Thought Piercy played very well and Hart may struggle to get back in the team ( apart from when Piercy's suspended ). El-Abd didn't look fazed by a full game and should be kept in place and I have just watched Soccer Sunday on Central TV and that was never a penalty in a milion years. His run and cross for the second goal was quality. Think Butters deserves a mention and even Cullip looked more confident than he has of late. Jones, Mayo and Carpenter were more like their old selves and all those who slagged Roberts off last week should think again..he had a very solid game. Hopefully this can be used as a springboard and, despite having taken only 4 points from the last 15, we are still in a good position in the table.

On the social side, the beer in the Vat and Fiddle before the game was excellent and ridiculously cheap and we both enjoyed our visit to Hooters after the match. Evening back in Leicester with more pints and then shared a Duck Chilli and Chicken Saag in my local curry house which happens to be about 40 yards from my house. Happy days.

Also spotted Chapman's the Saviour in Hooters who was jubilant about getting onto Harty's phone in only to admit that , once he got on air, he didn't know what to say. LOL.

See you all in the Withdean next saturday and at the NSC do in the evening.
