I know Hoile rejected the paln as unsuitable, but what about the other main inspector? Did he say it was OK?

I seem to recall everyone telling us as the PE was going on that he was hunky dorey with it

As far as I understand it the City planning officer rejected it, admitted by the club's lawyers at the PE, the PE inspector recommended rejecting it and Hoile rejected it. Hence why Two Jags is our only friend.

I was at the Inquiry in the Town Hall on Planning Inspector day (write-up in NSC Gold, if you're interested). Gist is that in purely planning terms, the Albion are in breach of just about every planning regulation known to man. I'd hazard a guess that 8 out of 10 random Inspectors would turn the application down on purely planning terms. Luckily there seem to be enough caveats in each of these regulations to make work for lawyers for forever and a day. And in the end, we've already seen that Prescott can just overrule them anyway. Seems a bit of an expensive charade making the Albion jump through these hoops, when ODPM can just reject the Planning Inspectors verdicts out of hand. Pretty fortunate for us that he can do so, tho...
