Yeah, what WERE those gay-looking figures in aid of? Is it like on the pier where you get three goes for a quid & if you knock one down you win a fluffy purple dragon? Blackpool players came close a couple of times tho has to be said that most of their shots had trouble reaching FDM :lolol:

I have no idea what is going on with either of the two phenomena, but at least the cardboard cut outs are funny, the celebration though is rank.

I would suggest that when Mcphee scores stands up straight and stretches out his arms to resemble christmas tree and the other players lay scattered at his feet to represent a load of presents, whilst we all strike up a chorus of the Chris Mcphee/Tannenbaum song. Now that would be entertaining:lolol:

"Lay scattered at his feet"? No, make Butters form the basis of a human pyramid which is topped by Chris McPhee. Who'd be the Christmas tree fairy tho'?

Some years ago SCCC had eggs placed around the ground, I understand that players would get a bonus if they managed to hit them with the ball.

Don't know about these figures that you mention but a similar idea for football would be wholly inappropriate.
