I have just got delivered my copy of November's 442 there is an article on Zamora all good but in the new Nationwide section there is a Q&A on Leon Knight!!!!!! Here are the highlights!!!

ARE YOU DISAPPOINTED TO DROP TWO DIVISIONS??

"With the way things have gone at Chelsea, I had no choice. The younger players wern't getting a chance before the takeover so it's going to be difficult for any to break through now. I'd played reserve-team football since the age of 16 and scored goals, but there comes a time when you need first team football. I began training with the senior squad under Luca Vialli and being in squads was a real boost. When Ranieri was appointed, he said I had a future, but never got the chance to show what I could do. And playing first-team football on loan gave me a real buzz. I DON'T SEE THE MOVE TO BRIGHTON AS A STEP BACK-MORE LIKE A STEP FOREWARD.

YOU WERE CALLED THE NEW ZOLA WAS THAT HARD?

I don't know about that. Franco certainly took me under his wing and encouraged me. I followed his example by staying for extra shooting practice and he was a real inspiration. But my ultimate hero is Ian Wright. I've been fortunate enough to chat to him a couple of times. He told me to keep my chin up when things don't go my way. BUT I'M HOPING FOR ONLY GOOD THINGS AT BRIGTON. MY SIGHTS ARE SET ON DIV1.

ARE YOU WORRIED BRIGHTON COULD BE ON THE SLIDE?

It hasn't entered my thoughts. I intially joined on loan and after seeing how the club is run, I wanted to stay. Having played all over the place, I want to settle down and get my career on track. I need to be in a team that's going places and that has good spirit-BRIGHTON HAS BOTH. True, the club has got relegated but we've got the same set of players.

SO YOU ARE AIMING TO PLAY AGAINST YOUR GOOD MATE JERMAINE DEFOE SOON?

We played together as kids and have maintained a friendly rivalry. We went to Lilleshall together, played for England at various levels and wer'e often on the phone, pushing each other. It would be great to line up against Jermaine one day.

After reading this I feel much better!!!!!!!!

Since before he'd even played for us, Leon has talked the game every bit as well as he plays it, which is, of course, awesomely well. He sounds an old head on young shoulders.

Maybe he'll make a fine - and loyal - Albion manager in a few years' time.
