Um... unfortunately not. It'd be nice, I know, for a passionate manager, but McGhee is relatively quiet, somewhere in between Coppell and Pardew.

He uses his arms a lot, and will regularly say that he wants Reading to fail as we f*ck him off so much. Hence I imagine he's perfect for Brighton with that sort of opinion! ;)

He sounds great to me too. Anyone with a dislike of Reading is fine by me.

:lolol:

DOUR is the word that springs to mind (along with 'fat', 'scottish' and 'bastard', obviously). The nearest thing to emotion I've seen from McGhee is his constant whining about the treatment Reading fans dish out to him!:lolol:

Oh, almost forgot. There was one incident I recall. That of McGhee dancing and jumping around on the pitch throwing uppercuts skywards when Wolves took the lead against Reading at Elm Park a few years ago. Unfortunately for him, we then scored twice in injury time to win the game. He was choking back the tears at the final whistle. Happy days...

You sound like you miss him Whitley, maybe if he had stayed then you would have got into the First Div and been an outsider for the play-offs a few seasons earlier than has turned out.

I don't care what managers do when they aren't Albion anymore, as long as they do the business when they are here.

Remember - if your not Brighton your little people.

Err, actually he DID get us into the 1st division (collecting another Division 2 championship trophy on the way) and into the play off places! We were 4th in Division 1 when McGhee walked and finished that season as Division 1 runners-up.

In answer to your opening comment, I can't say I miss the man but I certainly miss the superb football his side played.

You'll carry on missing it as well. Coppell is so thorough in his planning that you'll just cancel other teams out. Entertaining matches with Coppell as boss are few and far between. You'll get results but it won't be exciting and your subs will get hypothermia. Here's hoping your team is not good enough to get enough boring wins to go up.

Expecting you stay in Div 1 and wait for us to play you again next season. Should be one hell of an atmosphere as both managers get verbally abused for 90 mins,
