They look harmless but you wouldn't want to get in a row with them!

Those people who don't appear to be hard but you know you really wouldn't want to mess with.
Here's one for starters:

Snoop Dogg

hmm dunno about snoop doggy dog but i know exactly what you mean. you can tell by their eyes...they have a mad glint in them:glare:

Well, I can find out about 'Snoop Dogg' since I'm going over the place of lad who works for him (some production company stuff to do with Snoop Dogg tv or summat that goes on MTV ....not sure exactly but anyway it isn't my bag baby).

Has there been fight in the dogg, or just a dogg in a fight?

I recently sat at a cafe and chatted with Jean Claude van Damme and I wouldn't say he looked all that 'ard really. Still, I have to think he's done the training and is quite physically fit - so I wouldn't mess with the geezer just for larfs.
The real 'ard geezers I've known were never the ones with all the pose and bluster - that's just front and behind that is usually little else. The bodybuilder-types are not often as fast as is needed to really take care of business, and many threatening tough-bully-boys will come right up in their victim's face to impose their verbage - which is extremely unwise of them ! Almost any size of person can administer the required amount of thrust into the solar plexus / diaphragm area, or the groin, and basically end the little chat right there.

The bloke who does my kickboxing training doesn't look like much at all, not at first sight. Having seen some little samples of what he knows how to do - I have to think it would take a very good artist to sort him out and come anywhere near his speed - though he doesn't see this as "ardness" so much as a level of proficiency.

The fact is, anytime someone 'thinks' they can easily conquer someone, they are already more vulnerable and less defensive.
That's an important point in the psychology of martial and other fight / defence arts. Also, when someone is thinking in attack, they are obviously not thinking as much about defence.
Don't think for a moment that a guy with his fists up is not going to try and take out your knee with his heel !

Self-defence is an invaluable knowledge, if only to walk this world with confidence and own the space you live inside .
