Fifteen of the worlds hardest creatures (and the dung beetle) have been assembled, ready to chance their arm, leg, claws, jaws and any other weapon they may have in their armoury in a deadly contest to see who can claim the much sought after crown of 'World's HARDEST creature'. Over the coming days these sixteen brave gladiators will compete against each other until only one is left standing.
The format is simple:
The 16 creatures have been paired off into eight first round contests. All you have to do is vote for which one you think is the harder of the two. The winners will progress to the quaterfinals.
Remember, it's not neccesarily who would win in a fight between the two, but a contest of who pound for pound, ounce for ounce is harder. There's no set criteria for 'hard' but such factors as aggresiveness, viciousness, willingness to take on all comers, ability to withstand punishment, brute strength must surely factor highly in your considerations.

Four tightly fought contests see the polar bear, crocodile, hippo and taipan take a step closer to the title. Farewell to the bull shark, tiger, honeybadger and wolverine. You're hard, but not hard enough. A special mention to the controversial honeybadger who was the second highest points scorer in both rounds but still finds himself on the plane home. It's that tough at the top.
