I am in the process of booking some tickets for a show there and have two choices left, the rear stalls or the balcony. Can anyone give me an educated opinion on which one would be best, at the moment I'm leaning towards the Balcony....

Thanks...

I didn't like festival hall as a gig venue - I sat in the back of the stalls and it was a bit dark and low - I'd go front of the balcony if I could though.... or front of the front stalls...

It's on October 1st, tickets are £22.50. It's not only in the RFH but it's a little festival thing with loads of stuff happening. Sounds like it'll be an experience.

Rear Stalls i would say, I saw Moz there - and although eveyone stood during the whole gig the way it is sloped means no-one sat in front would obscure the view so depending on how far back they actually are id say they are better than the balcony

I disagree - the rear stalls are underneath the balcony and can feel a bit confined and a long way away. Despite being higher I think you actually *feel* closer in the balcony, because you're not enclosed, and the raking of the seats is steeper so your view is better (especially if people do stand up). I'd go for the balcony every time. Anyway, the RFH is supposed to be acoustically designed so that you get the same sound in every seat.

Was thinking of getting tickets myself until I saw the prices

We're 8 rows back in the balcony.

It's only 23 quid, Perry, there's a whole load of stuff going on in the afternoon too which will make it more than worthwhile. The Furries certainly know how to put on a show.

Mmmm, I am still tempted... 50 plus quid for a single night out for the wife and I still seems pretty steep though. :(

Don't take the wife and spend the savings on more beer:lol:

I'm all booked up! In the balcony.

It's going to be a cracker.

Lightning Fryday, takes place at the Royal Festival Hall, South Bank, London on Friday 1st October. It will be one of SFA’s most ambitious live events yet – capturing every facet of the band’s rich touring history. Lightning Fryday will see the band take over the RFH for one evening with live performance, SFA activities and special guests in several rooms, extending beyond the RFH boundaries to nearby landmarks. Reappearances from some of the band’s old acquaintances are rumoured (for more info watch this shape…).
