Can I just say how delighted I am to see the return of a proper band, The Wedding Present, to record and live action. The band were once unfairly dubbed: Smith's fans second favourite band, not true, they were my favourite band!
Old Gedgey has been aware too long - well not strictly true, he's been in Cinerama - and I for one am delighted to have purchased the new album.
As ever it's lyrically fab and musically it is The Weddoes of old in places, but I doubt it will chart very well thanks to too many of you having no taste (musically) whatever.
They play the Concorde 2 next Thursday I believe. Anyone else going?
Incidentally, their original drummer was Shaun Charman, who later featured in The Pop Guns, he was an Albion fan in those days. Anyone know anything of him now?
