[Help] The proper way to zest a lemon?

Or finally, does one both both?

I would decline the lime, since lime does not belong on a lemon soufflé.

No idea if it's the proper way but I use a microplane - also have never attempted a soufflé, so not sure if that will give you zest that is too small/big/something else incredibly precise!

Pls report back with soufflé photos, very interested!

I have a special tool for zesting, hold your lemon in your left hand and the tool in the right,( this can be reversed if you are a One in Ten ) pull the tool towards you over the lemon while pushing the lemon away. voilla !

Depends how much control you want over where the zest ends up.
