The club have just published the FAB - Engagement Report (See club site latest news)

No need to panic everything is going to improve, there is going to be a new website and app.

Is this just a PR exercise to try and show that the FAB have actually done (Doing) something, or will change that the majority of fans want happen.

Glad the remit has been has been referenced again (it hasn’t changed) but will explain to many what is in and out of scope to manage expectations, hopefully anyway

Do FA & B stand for Horse. Dead & Flogging in some language or other? If not dead already, time to shoot it now.

Thanks for posting and even forced myself to read right through. Sorry but copies of that will be forwarded to PL and EFL top officials also to MPs maybe even PM. PB will receive comments from these people hopefully in media saying what a great example Brighton are as to how to listen to fans etc.. Mision then accomplished by PB.

I think we all know what “ managing expectations” means

I just feel desperately sorry for those well-meaning FAB members wasting their time on this meaningless exercise that the club have zero interest in engaging with in any meaningful way. Putting this thread on Ignore now with a heavy heart

I've managed Projects that have kept me up at night that is now binned obsolete tech. One could quite easily argue I've been doing a pointless job for years (I'd also be inclined to agree but that's for another day)

I've been critical of FAB and whether it's useful but if the participants are getting something out of it and even if it only achieves one thing it's surely worth having. Something, is always better than nothing.

Fan Advisory Board Meeting Update 19/08/24

The full FAB met for a first time separate to the club after an induction day of meetings last week.

Induction notes taken from this engagement have been shared with the club for their review.

This meeting was spent deciding which members would take on sub-groups to streamline actions across different topic areas that are relevant to fan experience. The groups that have been put forward to date, and the areas within them that are being discussed currently are as follows:

Women's Game - Jo to lead and build wider committee including new members

Sustainability and Community
Bike to stadium during green prem leauge week
Food bank idea (people bring food to the Amex)
Request for coaches to turn off engines in the coach park
Building relationship with Brighton & Hove Albion Foundation
Engaging with Seagulls Over London offer of volunteer
BHAFC in the city - how can we increase club presence in the city away from the stadium with murals, plaques, sites of interest etc.

ED&I

Building on good work of the DSA
Internal discussion how to expand beyond disability engagement including:
Support from SOL
Engagement with NSK to be discussed further
Engagement with Proud Seagulls

Match Day Atmosphere

Flag ideas - Mitoma flag deployment, question re use of RDZ flag, scope for wider flag displays (a la Newscastle)
North Stand concourse decoration - proactive engagement with the club need to ensure fan stamp over designs
Safe standing
Singing sections
Away fans to be moved and how this effects atmosphere and desired space for certain home fans

Fan Engagement

Webinars - planning for additional webinar opportunities to engage directly with wider fans
Match Day FAB stand - to move it around the ground and put it in Lounges before games to discuss face to face with fans. First one to be Ipswich.
Fan Surveys to be discussed with the club.

For each of these areas, Project Information Documents (PIDs) are being created by the committee leaders to outline the scope of work, and submit to the club to demonstrate what we need from them to help drive desired outcomes.

The first club x FAB meeting of the year has been agreed for the 24th of September. This will focus on the FAB presenting project areas and ideas above for discussion and club feedback.
