Early in the week i saw vehicles and fencing on Victoria gardens (Opp King & Queen) and had the false hope that the Council was actually going to put the 'garden' back into Victoria gardens and restore what has become a Council Rec to it's former glory of prisene lawns and coulourful flowerbeds.

But no, there's another event going on today 'The Loop', wtf? I heard the sound system test this morning, would appear to be a music event. So, why place it there?

All those cars that have to pass by and will be distracted. Some may decide they want to attend and then there'll be the chaos of trying to park. You'll also have pedestrians who, some paying little attention to crossings, who will be crossing this busy road.

It's not an ideal venue, it's a glorified traffic island which used to look nice. i wonder what impression it gives to visitors now with it's puddles and muddy paths or, when dry, looking like a dust bowl. i really think it's a disgrace especially when you think of the though that went into the gardens and how it even has it's own watering system from underground sources. (Probably doesn't work now after yeasrs of neglect).

So, what is going on down there and couldn't they have had it at The Level?

They had it there last year, good bands, only about £20.

It's not the event so much as the venue i object to. Could have a good music do at the Level, Wild Park or Stanmer.
