Anyone got it? What do you think to it? I like it a lot but on first couple of listens there are not the stand out classics like on 'up the bracket'.

I like:

The Saga
What Katie Did

The most so far.

Got Kasabian's album too which is ace. The hidden version of 'Reason is Treason' at the end of the album is the better version.

The Libertines is a great album, I agree it's probably not as good as Up the bracket, I think up the bracket has more really great songs which stand, but all of the songs on The Libertines are consistantly good. At first I didn't think it was anywhere near as good as Up the bracket but its grown on me an now I really like it.

my favourite songs are:
Narcissist
What Katie did
Arbeit Mach Frei
What became of the likely lads
Can't stand me now
The man who would be king

Has anyone got the futureheads album, I'm probably going to get it, I've heard a couple of songs which I like.I'm going to see them as They're supporting the zutons

Not my cup of tea, but Pete Doherty and Babyshambles launch their tour at Lush on Worthing pier next Wed or Thur.

I've got the Futureheads album. I think it's excellent, I can't stop playing it.

Also got a ticket for the Zutons and Futureheads in Pompey.

I think its great, not as good as the last but What became of the likely lads and Can't stand me now are the two stand out tracks

BTW what is the deal next week with The Babyshambles, on the NME website it has no mention of the Worthing date, but I confirmed with Concorde2 yesterday that Doherty (parently it was not a definate if he was showing) and Babyshambles are playing on 16th sept at C2, they didnt have a clue if the worthing date is on or not

Anybody ?

Oh yeah, Tinx just reminded me that Kasbian are VERY dull, with a STASH of record company money behind them.

The new Ash ?

Tinx have you heard Kasabian or are you just assuming? They are quality, think Black Rebel Motorcycle club vs a hybrid of late 80s/early 90s Manc bands.

Saw them live last night and they tore the roof off the place!

Really don't quite understand the fuss surrounding Kasabian, it seems like their record company must have put a loa of money into them and they now have to succeed. Dull, lifeless music.

A million times better than that Dizzee Rascal rubbish! Also, have you heard the Album? If not how can you make a statement like that?

Because I've seen them live twice and hread most of the album on Zane Lowes show, he played most of it during the course of a week not long ago. Personally I find it boring, as with a whole host of guitar bands nowadays like the Ordinary Boys, Razorlight, Keane, Snow Patrol, Kings of Leon.....

The music press seem to raelly want these bands to succeed and they can get away with making uninspired music because of it.

The new Dizzee album is top, lyrically the above bands can't touch him.

Check out 'Dream' off the new album.

I downloaded the album last week and thought how unoriginal and bland it sounded.

Of course I've heard Kasabian, I don't comment on bands if I've not heard of them. It's certainly nothing I've not heard before.

A lot of it sounds like a watered down Cooper Temple Clause, who aren't the most exciting but far better than Kasabian.

Right, posters all round Worthing and a bit in our local rag.

Babyshambles on Worthing Pier, Sept 15, tickets from Music Mania, West Buildings, off Crescent Road Worthing 01903 203489, or rounder in Brighton 01273 325440.

Selling well apparently, 150 tickets will be on the door. Tickets £10.50 drinks £1.50. Doors 8:45

Hither (sometimes Thither)
Kasabian are absolute dross. Sub-Beta Band baggy nonsense with bloody stupid hair.

All should try the Fiery Furnaces. They are sickeningly good.

guitar bands nowadays like the Ordinary Boys, Razorlight, Keane,

I thought the one thing about Keane was that they weren't a guitar band.

Saw the Fiery Furnaces supporting Franz Ferdinand and they sucked big time. Not a patch on Sons and Daughters who opened that night.

Chappers, I heard Dizzy's new single with the Happy Talk sample through it on the Zanesters show last night, have to say VERY catchy, but ultimately I can imagine VERY iritating.

However I found Ringleader - 'Enough Is Enough' to be one of the BEST tracks I have heard in a long time.
