I used to love sitting up there as a kid, behind the bowlers arm. Remember a six sailing over my head into a window in the flats behind, Gooch responsible.

Same here. It was an ugly monstrosity but I really liked it up there - I've watched about 90% of my Sussex cricket from up there.

I remember Sir Viv smashing a window in the flats behind it - and watched a woman blame the kids playing just below it.

It was a good place to watch from but maybe they could find a less openly fascistic former Sussex player to name a stand after next time? Just my HO.

Many happy days spent in the nets below under the watchful eye of Keith Greenfield and Pat Hale.

Trivial fact. I'm typing right now in what was Keith Greenfield's childhood bedroom - we bought this house from his mother.

Those nets were a godsend on wet days - I remember several sessions there. El Pres would remember them well too.

Much more importantly the new Groundsman Sheds are taking shape, work started before Xmas and they are flying along in bad conditions!
