Here for the full story

Basically after just 5 hours of being called up they drop him because of an incident with a bottle being "thrown" at some fans - yet he *WAS'NT* charged after talking to Police, he had apologised to the family and they agreed it was the *END OF THE MATTER*.

The FA are a bunch of donuts, "innocent until proven guilty" anyone? OK he aplogised and that should be the end of it...the family agreed to that....so why do the FA insist on dropping him whilst Police continue to investigate.

If I got accused of Murder and was talking to Police I would'nt expect my employers to suspend me as I'll be again..."innocent until proven guilty"

/end rant of the day

err - I think everyone saw the clip of him chucking the bottle into the crowd, so it's not a case of innocent until proven guilty.
The fact that the family are ok with it doesn't mean the FA should be happy with the actions of this unruly little shit.
I'd be quite happy if he never wears an england shirt again.

The FA are unable to take any disciplinary action all the while there is the possibility of a criminal charge being levied. Smith hasn't been charged YET - he's been released without charge pending an investigation, so he still might be charged over the incident.

1. The FA are DICKHEADS for not making Sven aware of this before they allowed his selection. If they didn't know about it then that still does not excuse it - ignorance is NOT a defence in this case.

2. The police, once again, seem quite happy to waste inordinate amounts of time, manpower and costs on a minor incident involving a PLASTIC BOTTLE for christs sake. Nobody was injured in the incident, nobody has died. If this had happened on the street between a couple of nobodies, it would have been done and dusted on the spot with no more than a caution at the very most.
The fact that it involves a high-profile footballer is the only reason this is still dragging on 3 WEEKS after it bloody happened.
So now we have a full investigation, and the CPS getting involved as well.

FECKING PATHETIC.

Just to test it out, I'm thinking of wandering into the Police Station over the road and report someone for throwing a plastic lucozade bottle at me.

I reckon they'll laugh and say something like, "Well aint you the lucky one, most people round here get glassed with a bottle of Stella mate. Now run along we've got some speed camera tickets to process."
