The crappest sport

As its the olympics, i've been watching lots of different sports recently. Some, such as archery are sports that i'd never normally watched bur have proven to be, at least, mildly interesting. However, one sport has shone out in its unmitigating shiteness, a sport with no- NO- redeeming features.

That sport, is the sport known as..............















BASEBALL.

My god, its crap. its so dull, it makes me want to go on a killing spree...

Anyway, i was wondering what sport the rest of this esteemed establishment views as the worst sport.....EVER!

Don't mind baseball - apart from the fact the bloody Americans play it.

The worst OLYMPIC event must be - Synchronised Swimming. Two over-madeup, overstarched, overblown pussies not waving but drowning. That sort of shit is best left to camp Hollywood muscials of the 1940s.

Swimming is SHIT. Up and down that bloody pool,, its boring as hell. Why can't they do the swimming in the Kayaking course instead, see how they cope with the rapids. That'd put the cat amongst the pigeons.

why do we not enter a baseball or basketball team we have leagues that are ok in standard esp basketball, we would surely do better than the likes of the argies

but at least its over relatively quickly. Baseball seems to last forwever and is played by ridiculously clothed goons, chewing and finger waving their way through the game. Plus they swing wildly at the ball, miss it and then run away...

Would we qualify? I seem to remember recently watching the japanese whoop our arses. THE JAPANESE. I love them but, they're 3foot 2 tall...

Have watched a bit of baseball recently on the box, have also been to a live game in Canada, have to say it took a while to grow on me. I think we have to compare it with cricket, both games are interesting to those who follow them and to few others, they are both extremely tactical and rely on the skill of the bowler (pitcher) and the ability of both batsmen and fielders.

I love cricket as a game, both to play and watch, baseball is similar but different, imagine how boring Cricket must seem to the Americans when a test match can last five days, compared to a baseball game it is as different as a short sprint and a marathon.

Baseball is a dreadful game. Other than the joke sports (synchronised swimming, etc) it has to be the worst Olympic sport.

But it's still not as bad as golf.

What with the time outs, add breaks and half time yes, if you get the game finished in 3 hours only it's been pretty quick.

I can't comment on baseball, but our basketball league is probably the worst standard of competition in europe. We have four semi-reasonable teams, one of which (Bears) can hold their own against Europe's c-list. We would get whupped by every team at the olympics, the argies included - they have Manu Ginobili and he is CLASS (plays NBA for the San Antonio Spurs). Even without him, I'd still expect us to lose to them.

Does synchronised swimming actually count as a sport? its more like water based dancing. How do you technically define a sport?
