All the squads are now in:

Confirmed
Kaouri Mitoma (Japan)
Leandro Trossard (Belgium)
Robert Sanchez (Spain)
Alexis Mac Allister (Argentina)
Tariq Lamptey (Ghana)
Pervis Estupinan (Ecuador)
Jeremy Sarmiento (Ecuador)
Moises Caicedo (Ecuador)

ex-Albion
Maty Ryan (Australia)
Aaron Mooy (Australia)
Ben White (England)
Alireza J (Iran)
Sam Adekugbe (Canada)

I'm gonna put a nice little horizontal line right about here and then go through group by group:

Group A
Ecuador - yet to be announced. Sarmiento, Caicedo and Pervis all expected to be in it.
Netherlands - Veltman & Scherpen not in the initial 39 man squad. ex-Albion Tim Krul was ruled out when he refused to participate in Van Gaals penalty kick-training camp.
Senegal & Qatar - no Albion/ex Albion

Group B
England - booooo
Iran - Ali J in the initial 30 man squad and expected to go to the WC
US & Wales - no Albion/ex-Albion in the released squads

Group C
Argentina - King Alexis is in
Poland - no Karbo and no Moder
Saudi Arabia & Mexico - no Albion / ex-Albion though surely the club needs a Mexican

Group D
Australia - Maty Ryan and Aaron Mooy are both in the Australia squad
Denmark - 21 out of 26 players revealed so far. ex-Albion Anders Dreyer might have a small chance of getting one of the five remaining spots.
France & Tunisia - no Albion/ex-albion.

Group E
Germany - no Gross : (
Japan - Kaoru Mitoma is in the 26 man squad
Spain - Rob Sanchez is going. No Cucurella.
Costa Rica - no Albion/ex-Albion. Which is a shame innit.

Group F
Belgium - Trossmeister is IN
Canada / Croatia / Morocco - no Albion/ex-Albion unless McGill gets a very surprising call-up

Group G
Brazil / Cameroon / Serbia /Switzerland - no Albion/ex-Albion

Group H
Ghana - Tariq Lamptey is in the 55 man squad and most likely will remain in it
Portugal / South Korea / Uruguay - no Albion/ex-Albion

Confirmed Tomori will NOT be in England’s WC squad.

Gonna be Dier and Coady innit?

Noises that Ali Mac might get the odd start now Lo Celso is out of the WC injured. Would love to see it.
He has started 4 out of their last 6 games so I think we'll see a lot of him, and even more now with Lo Celso out.

How Mings gets anywhere near the squad stuns me. Oh no it doesn’t, waistcoat man played for Villa too

I have, but it doesn't stop me from hoping.

If you have 23-24 world class players you can bring along Harry Maguire because he is cute or Tyrone Mings because he is... left-footed.

But unlike a handful of teams, England doesn't have that. If England are going to have a chance, the players with the best form needs to get picked. You never know, maybe Southgate woke up this morning and realised exactly that.

Is our man Zeqiri not near the Swiss squad anymore?
Not particularly, no. If they had three or four strikers out, then maybe.

He's done ok in Basel but not always in their starting eleven, and then it turns difficult to get into the Swiss squad.

Anyone else find it slightly concerning that the squad is slowly getting leaked on Twitter before the announcement?
I think it is a clear sign of GS calling players before the announcement so that they don't have to sit in front of the TV with their families and friends and get disappointed.

Pretty classy actually, I think.

The first bit is to be expected though from any person with a hint of people skills. Just don't think it should be getting leaked like some sort of reality TV show.

I think TB would find that to be be gross misconduct if Albion players ending up leaking confidential info :lolol:

Well, most national team coaches dont do it afaik.

The leaks are probably unavoidable once players tell their friends etc.
