A win 0-0 would be perfect for symmetry.

CHAMPIONSH Mar 2005 Brighton 2 - 4 Wigan

That Wigan game was mental. Barely time to settle in ones seat and we were two down.

From memory, they absolutely tonked us in the first half hour and we were 4 down by then, luckily. Bullard, Kavanagh, Ellington, Roberts and others, ripping us to shreds.

Yes he was, and for a home victory over a strong Leeds side at Withdean too. Don't forget his mistakes can affect the other team as well!

Yes your right, he forgot to give leeds a. 2nd dodgy penalty for some imaginary rreason. Useless ****

Was that the evening game at Withers? The year Wigan went up as champions [and we were relegated?]
Yep, 1-0 after 25 seconds and 4-0 inside 20 minutes.
But we did win the second half 2-0

Quiet night that ....

Thought that he did pretty well today and let the game flow. 2 major points he a played the advantage on one occasion for Blackburn when a player was fouled just outside our box and they went on to miss. The earlier point was when the 2 Blackburn players went down in our box and the trainer came on why did he not maker them leave the field of play as is usual.

It was one of his better games- not that that means much by his standards. The fact that there was little objection from the Blackburn players to the penalty suggests he got that right and most of the fouls committed by both sides were fairly obvious to everyone in the stadium.

Thought he did us a favour with the pen - seen worse not given.

He did ok IMO.

Should have made their two players leave the pitch after treatment, but got vast majority of the decisions right.

I didn't quite get that at the time. I thought their medic ran on then off again without helping. That's quite an easy thing to get right, shame he didn't as most of his decisions were good.

He was fine yesterday, for a change. Of course he made mistakes, but then players made numerous bad passes as well on both teams, it happens.

If anything, the worst decision was not sending Lopez off for kicking the ball away , (2nd booking dissent etc....), we escaped one there I think. Haven't changed my opinion about him though, he is still generally poor.
