[Misc] The Arts @ Home - things to stream

With theatres etc in lockdown, many of the arts are now offering streams etc to access materials from home. As an alternative to the Netflix thread, post your more cultural options here.

I'll start a little highbrow - National Theatre Live (http://ntlive.nationaltheatre.org.uk/) is putting up streams on YouTube of some of their productions. From Thursday this week you can watch James Corden in One Man, Two Guv'nors with Jane Eyre, Treasure Island and Twelfth Night (Featuring Tamsin Greig) to follow.

As a comedy fan a couple of options for you:

https://cosmicshambles.com/stayathome - various comedians putting on shows during the day or evening including Al Murray, Stewart Lee and others.

http://www.xsmalarkey.com/ - Manchester Comedy Club providing virtual comedy club nights.

Brilliant local jazz singer/pianist, Joe Stilgoe, son of Richard Stilgoe, does a 30 min live session from his garden shed every weekday at 1pm and a posh black tie session each Saturday at 7pm. This is on YouTube

I'm watching an all-star cast of the Bayerische Oper production of Parsifal. It's a pretty bonkers staging but the singing is out of this world
https://operlive.de/parsifal/

They also had an excellent Duke Bluebird's Castle last week

The Royal Opera and the Met have also got a host of productions all completely free - the new Fidelio from the ROH is meant to be particularly good.

There are also going to be free showings of National Theatre and RSC productions coming up.

I'm wallowing in all of this - being stuck indoors isn't great but there's plenty to watch

As I mentioned on another thread, the Royal Opera production of Cosi Fan Tutte is absolutely superb - lovely production with some genuine comic moments and beautifully sung

It's not as good as Hytner's Glyndebourne production but it will do

One of the options on the one of the links I posted earlier was the Wind in the Willows musical, which is available to stream from the wind in the willows website: https://www.willowsmusical.com/

I've just discovered that if you have Virgin Media, it is airing on their ultra HD showcase channel at 17:20 this afternoon (you can watch that channel in regular HD if you don't have a 4k TV).
