Tense, nervous?

You'd think after more than fifty years of Seagull watching I'd be beyond worrying about the result of each game. I can remember going to games completely knotted up; that tensed up feeling that only began to ease when the result was clear - and then it was either joy or frustration! There have been so many ups and downs over the years that it would be easy just to take each game as it comes, but with the result of every game being so important, it's back. How many of you feel the same?

Today? Neither of those things  For now, we have the rare luxury of being able to go into these games as relaxed and confident as its ever possible to be. Besides, Tranmere mate who's coming down for the game assures me they're playing shit at the moment.

That'll be 1-0 to Tranmere then

From min 1 to the final whistle every game (unless its a friendly) I am a nervous reck untill I am sure of the out come.

I generaly combat this with rather over zelous(?) shouting.

I don't get the nerves and butterflies anywhere like as much as I did as a youngster.

However, I am still cautious before every game, even a 'banker' like today.

43 odd years for me and I`m still as nervous as ever pre-match. Sometimes I actually enjoy a season of mid table mediocrity as you can have a life in between games it seems.
