Brit swimmer gets out of the pool absolutely gutted after coming 6th/7th and immmediately says he can't wait for Beijing 2008 to put things right.

Henman walks off court after another pathetic defeat and says he can't wait for the US Open next month.

Nuff said, boot them out.

PS Mods, throw me a f***ing bone, here - and delete the other two!

As a tennis fan, I think the tennis event at the Olympics should be changed into an event where only Amaturs and Juniors play not pros. A bit like the boxing events at the Olympics. That way you can see young promising players, who play this event with out the need to rush into turning pro.

I won't discuss further as this is a football board, and not a tennis board, if you wanna discuss tennis further, why don't you pop into my messageboard, we have a Guest Room where you don't have to register and you can post what you want.

Paul Hayward from The Telegraph had it right on TalkSport this morning saying the tennis is an intruder on the Olympics which he thinks should be ostensibly an event for minority sports.

The day they allowed the American DreamTeam basketball side to compete was the beginning of the end.

The fact that the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo can swan off to play in a meaningless football tournament and leave the clubs that pays his extortionate wages shorthanded is even more of a scandal.

The football should be for players who are NOT playing in their or any other countries National League or another alternative is not having previously been capped by the country, making the Olympics their first cap.

they should make it under 23

Agree, the same with a lot of these events: Footy, Boxing, Cycling, lets see the flowering of our youth.

To a under 21 or 19 the Olympics will mean a lot more than a poxy World Championship.

What the **** is Air Pistol 10 m firing. For **** sake.

How about throwing pebbles in the sea!

Putting limitations on events encourages emerging players to come through - Does Henman really care if he goes out of the Olympics?

I would like to know how many of the athletes in the Games are amateurs - surely it can´t mean so much when it`s just a minor tournament to you?
