Hello,

Can anyone recommend a good, trustworthy Usenet provider for a noob to such technical wizardry and a browser/reader to go with it? I dabbled a bit about five years ago but everything has gone out of my head since.

Looking to download (free to download, uncopyrighted, naturally) films, music and such.

Any pointers would be appreciated - sick to the back teeth of slow, slow torrents!

Cheers!

I use giganews which is expensive at £22 a month but you get so many benefits (cloud storage and a dedicated VPN mainly) and it'll have all the groups and retention going back years. They usually do a trial so you could try it out and a big reputable site in relation to usenet providers.

I don't use a newsreader but use sabnzb+ and just use a few nzb search sites for downloads. Although the best search sites have recently closed because the MPAA/RIAA have recently started cracking down on them.

Hi I have used www.easynews.com for the last 10 years and never had a problem. Plans start from around $9 per month and you don't need a seperate reader as it's all in browser. Works with Chrome, IE and Firefox. You don't have to learn any jargon just click on what you want and download it.
