Afternoon all.
With my ISP, I have 20GB of allqwable Bandwidth usage per month.
How much B/W would Seagulls World commentaries take up per month. Thank You.

Assuming a bit rate of 128 kbits/sec (not sure what SW uses), two hours of commentary will be (120 * 60) * 128000 = 921600000 bits. Dividing by 8 to give bytes = 115200000 bytes = 115MB. Therefore, you will use about 0.115Gb of your 20Gb allowance so I wouldn't worry. And SW might only use 64kbits/sec which means you can halve that number.

I have, or rather my son, has a problem in that he has wiped off his windows xp that was preloaded when he bought his pc , dont ask me how coz he dont know so I have no chance. I have , hidden away a copy of Windows either 95 or 98 with the access code would either of those work on his pc and would he be able to get broadband with it then. I am fairly certain it is 98 on a cd as I think I had 95 on floppy disks.

If it's a pukka preloaded pc shouldn't you get the discs with the pc? Are you sure he hasn't put them away and forgotten about them?

98 won't install on any modern PC. 95 won't install on much made this millennium.

The maker should be able to provide a replacement install CD for a few quid - its the licence code printed on the sticker on the back thats expensive!

He bought the PC at PC World and it was preloaded and they dont give any disks.
Apparently this was stopped by Microsoft with Windows XP because so many people gave their disks and install code to other people.

I also bought a pc from Netto which had XP preloaded but didnt come with any disks. You might have to "acquire" a disk from somewhere or buy a new copy of XP.

My PC from PCWorld has a partition on it that contains the Operating System (HP).

Are you sure that has been deleted too? Might be worth checking the manual to see if it has a restore option from a partition similar to mine.

Of course if he has completely wiped the drive, that would be long gone!
