Been watching Taxi Driver online, Mrs Jakarta came in to the Study and asked where Danny Devito was.

Had to explain that a psychotic Vietnam veteran killing pimps and clients of a teenage prostitute was probably not the stuff of a 1980's Sitcom...

Love the scene though where Andy Kaufman's character blows of the pimps hand with a big gun.

First date with Cybill Shepherd could have gone better though...

Its actually a fascinating character study into someone, true anti hero. Speaks a lot about social isolation in a big city and mental health issues post Vietnam.

Harrowing to watch, almost a companion piece to The Deer Hunter, which obviously also has De Niro in it.
