What's with these modern footballers?

ManUre's Ronaldo comes on wearing tape over each ear lobe to cover his 'sparkly earrings'. Not earring-singular; earrings plural.

Can't these players leave their feckin' sparkly earrings and bling bling shit in the frigging dressing room for 90 minutes for f**k's sake?

Terry Wogan remarked about the amount of hair bands and hairgrips the footballers are wearing now. Ponytails galore as well.

Can you imagine Norman Hunter with hairgrips or an Alice band ? :jester:

That's rich coming from a man who:
1. Is neurotic enough to have worn a wig for the last 25+ yrs.
2. Owns wigs in different hair lengths so that he can change them to simulate 'real' hair growth!

I'd rather see longer hair, ponytails and hairbands than the 'orrible shaven heads which seem to be the alternative. Something I was musing on earlier whilst admiring the many and various talents of Luis Figo...

Read today that Beckham wears make up, WTF is that all about?! ???

Not unexpected with him...I mean, he's well known for wearing Posh's knickers and has been out in a sarong ffs.

While we're on the subject of Figo, does anyone else think that he looks like Wasim Akram these days?

Roz, what if the choice was shaven heads or 70s perms though?

Given that alternative, I'd reluctantly cope with a shiny-domed short back and sides version of Senor Figo.

;)
