Tarbuck on radio 2

Did anyone hear Liza Tarbuck on Radio 2 today? She said that her dad, comedian Jimmy, played football for Brighton and Hove Albion.
Can this really be true? Jimmy Tarbuck played for the Albion?

I once saw him in a testimonial game at the Goldstone. Can't remember who it was for but I think it was an entertaining 2-2 draw with Brum and Tarbuck (now a celeb) may have scored.

It's probably why he turned to comedy...had a trial with Albion and they told him he was having a larf!!!
