Tadpoles - All dead - Why?

my daughters and myself (mainly me!) went on a frogsborn hunt about 9 weeks ago and since then have been nurturing them through the tadpole process. They had grown to about an inch and a half and didnt think they were far away from turing into little frogs.
Last night they were all fine and I gave them there usual weekly allowance of lettuce, tonight I came home from work and they are all dead, theres about 150 of them?

Could it be oxygen in the water?

I would put money on it being the heat. 9 weeks ago the weather was probably perfect for spawn but the dramatic increase has probably caused this massacre.

they have eaten enough of it over the last 9 weeks!! for the record, they go (did go) mad for BBQ sausage, they were like piranhas!!

I also gave them raw chicken as well as the BBQ sausage. They lived better then us.
