TOWN fans will be offered 31,000 tickets for the play-off final at the Millennium Stadium if they manage to see off Brighton and Hove Albion over two legs.
With less than a week-and-a-half between the match at the Withdean Stadium on Thursday, May 20 and the final at Cardiff, County Ground officials have drawn up their ticket distribution plans.
Chief executive Mark Devlin said: “Nobody at the club is taking anything for granted but with such a short timescale when it comes to the play-offs, we have to address these issues at the earliest possible opportunity.’’
He added: “Should we get past Brighton we don't have much time to get things sorted before the final. To that end we have decided to let the supporters know now what we intend to do in the event of that happening.
“We will receive around 31,000 tickets although we don't yet know which end of the stadium our fans will be accomodated in. That will be decided once the finalists are known.”
Should Town emerge victorious from their tie with the Seagulls then final tickets will go on sale at 9am on Sunday, May 23.
Devlin said: “Season ticket holders and shareholders will purchase their tickets from the advanced box office and there will be a maximum of four tickets per sale.
“As for other supporters, tickets will go on general sale at the same time. Again, it will be a maximum of four tickets per person. We will try to have as many windows open as possible.
“Postal applications will also be taken and these will be accepted up until the Wednesday.”
Shareholders will need to produce their share certificate. Season ticket holders will need voucher 'c'.
A reminder, should it be needed, that the Division Two play-off final takes place on Sunday May 30. The Division One final is on Saturday 29 with the Division Three final on Monday 31. All three matches will kick off at 3pm.
