Swindon: Cardiff ticket plan unveiled

TOWN fans will be offered 31,000 tickets for the play-off final at the Millennium Stadium if they manage to see off Brighton and Hove Albion over two legs.

With less than a week-and-a-half between the match at the Withdean Stadium on Thursday, May 20 and the final at Cardiff, County Ground officials have drawn up their ticket distribution plans.

Chief executive Mark Devlin said: “Nobody at the club is taking anything for granted but with such a short timescale when it comes to the play-offs, we have to address these issues at the earliest possible opportunity.’’

He added: “Should we get past Brighton we don't have much time to get things sorted before the final. To that end we have decided to let the supporters know now what we intend to do in the event of that happening.

“We will receive around 31,000 tickets although we don't yet know which end of the stadium our fans will be accomodated in. That will be decided once the finalists are known.”

Should Town emerge victorious from their tie with the Seagulls then final tickets will go on sale at 9am on Sunday, May 23.

Devlin said: “Season ticket holders and shareholders will purchase their tickets from the advanced box office and there will be a maximum of four tickets per sale.

“As for other supporters, tickets will go on general sale at the same time. Again, it will be a maximum of four tickets per person. We will try to have as many windows open as possible.

“Postal applications will also be taken and these will be accepted up until the Wednesday.”

Shareholders will need to produce their share certificate. Season ticket holders will need voucher 'c'.

A reminder, should it be needed, that the Division Two play-off final takes place on Sunday May 30. The Division One final is on Saturday 29 with the Division Three final on Monday 31. All three matches will kick off at 3pm.

Question for you. The form you have to fill in and show ID (bit over the top isn't it) says its for personal applications only. So then, how does someone who lives outside of the BN post code (as I do) apply for tickets if you can't post that form?

In other news, San Marino have announced details of their ticket arrangements should they qualify for the 2006 World Cup Finals.
All 32 available tickets will be sold on a first come, first serve basis at the Green Shed at the back of that park with the duck pond in.
Should there be any tickets left they will be sold on ebay!

Sunderland required both Season Ticket holders and other supporters to apply for Cardiff tickets before last Tuesday.

Still, they're only playing Palace in the semis, so can obviously assume that they will reach the Final.

Prices, incidentally, for the First Division Play-Off Final are:-

Adult £52 Concession £26 [U16 / OAP’s]

Adult £46 Concession £23 [U16 / OAP’s]

Adult £38 Concession £19 [U16 / OAP’s]

Adult £28 Concession £14 [U16 / OAP’s]

Wheelchair £28 Assistant £0

Does anyone know what the Second Division Final prices are?

Albion are clearly concerned that they wont take many to cardiff and falmers dream will be a wet one why else wood they allow any number to be sold they are desperate to get as many sold as possible as clearlky 2 jags will wait to see how many we take there.

thats one of things that amazes me, the way this club treats people even now and obviously treated em in the past. And yet people still line up for more, i reckon bha fans must be amongst the most masochistic in the country !!?? But they dont see it they just love getting treated like sh1t i suppose !!??

As for cost of the final, yep well i wont be surprised if cost of seats starts at about 30 or 35 quid, when you think we're paying 22 to goto sh1thole withdean, going to one of if not the best stadium in britain has gotta cost a whole lot more !?

Re price of watching football, how about this, i saw a post on a fans site from an aston villa fan, he was saying at the start of this season he was thinking twice about renewing his season ticket cos of the price increase, now because theyve had such a good season and maybe in europe etc he's really pleased he decided to find the extra money even tho he could barely afford it ! Cost of his season ticket to watch Villa at a top class stadium watching top class football - £450 !!!!!!!!!! Only £35 more than sum at withdean !!!!!!!!!!!

Im going to the FA cup final and ticket prices are about the same as playoffs:

£25 for shite tickets at very back of bottom and top tier

£50 for rubbish tickets not so far back

£65 for average tickets

£95 for good tickets

Im in the Millwall end as my mate who plays for millwall and shal remain nameless managed to get me and my mates some tickets.

A clue to his identity is that there is no way he will be joining the albion in the summer despite the amount of stuff i see posted on here suggests he will.

And

He will be in the standard this evening
